More hair

A couple of weeks ago I was offered a job in London for a client of TIGI's: Forresters. A hop, skip and a planeride away and I was in London again.

I love London. I don't really know the town that well, but it's just such a wonderful bowl of things and people and shops and places and let's not forget, I actually know the language. Practical.

Anywho, Forresters needed some hair to colour for a competition, well, actually they needed some pictures of girls with hair they'd coloured and then they can send in the pictures for the this year's best hair colouring, or something.

Anywaywho, the whole thing took place in the BedHead studio, where the Tigi DIY collection pictures were taken aaaand.... here are some pictures. They're not really that representative for the whole trip, they're mostly just the pics I liked the best.

Tuesday: arrival day
Arrived early in the afternoon leaving the rest of the day free. Enjoyed three hours of doing absolutely nothing while lying on my huge hotelbed and drinking tea. Became hungry, went to Waitrose and enjoyed the weather and the atmosphere of Chelsea on the walk back.

Aahhh..... Flowers. <3 ( <---- lame, I know)

I stopped by a cute little place I noticed last time I was in London, the Phat Phuc Noodle Bar, a tiny outdoor Vietnamese restaurant. I like! Great chicken noodle soup and edamame beans and lovely, friendly staff. Recommended! It's in Chelsea btw.

Back at the hotel, Charlotte and I met Annette on the hotelroof. (Annette Russell, casting chief, caregiver of models and not to mention wonderwoman.) We had some wine and wonderful conversation and the view was stunning.
Wednesday: Prep-day
Charlotte the monkey (yes, that is her name):

Robs from Forresters. He was such a darling. (Imagine I'm saying this with a very posh English accent)

Gemma from Forresters. Also cute as a button and supernice. Very photogenic woman, I almost ended up only selecting pictures of her, and often some other stuff.
Then I found the wigs.

Colouring done and I'm bright orange while Charlotte is pink and purple. This is not a wig. And at Topshop we found shoes to match! Didn't buy though.

We met Annette again for supper at an adoring french restaurant, La Bouchée. I ate the best French onion soup. And, Annette made us taste foie gras, very fancy, yes. It tasted... alright. Not bad, but not spectacular.
Thursday: The shoot
We were five girls: three skinny bitches, one monkey, and me. (skinny bitch = proper model)
Hair and make-up done! Very cool.

The Monkey, looking fab. Oh! btw, Charlotte the monkey has now moved to London to try and make it as a proper skinny bitch. Exciting!

 The stylist:

Finished result, me on the far right. They shot Asian girl in the middle again with her hair a bit more fluffed up.

Monkey, in progress of getting her brown hair back.

The odd outfit-post

Spoiler alert: First batch of Bologna photos will be posted tomorrow!

Hello little darlings, unfaithful readers and the plain unfaithful. I was so pleased with my outfit here the other day that I actually made the effort of taking a photo of it.

I don't quite get how fashion bloggers and people who think they are fashion bloggers can be bothered to take their own picture up to every day. To me it usually just feels like a nuisance, having to shove the kitchen table out of the way, position the camera in the right height and distance, get the focus right when only looking at a white wall and runnuing back and forth pressing the timer-button.

Then again, I don't understand computer programming either.

Well, enough text. I realise that your brain capacity is limited.

As you can see, I am uncapable of choosing just one photo... Also! I have now, for some time, been looking for the perfect black shoeboot for spring. I found them a week ago and now they are mine. Mine! Love them to bits.

Window shopping

I've found that a good way to quench my shopping hunger is to do a bit of online Windows shopping (no Mac users here), but it must be from a foreign store. That way I'm appalled by the thought of the final price of the garments considering first adding postage, then a 12% customs fee and then a 25% VAT (moms) regardless of whether the store in question has subtracted the VAT first or not. It's ridiculous but money saving.

Aaaaanyway... Everything below is from Topshop, again.
First some romantic style garments

Followed by my obsession with shirts (and cardigans)

And finally the leftovers which don't really go that well together but let's just call it a mismatch thingy that I totally ment to happen

temptations

Made the mistake of entering Topshop's webshop just a sec ago. Fortunately I have no money therefore nothing was bought. Also, remember that London called? Well, on Sunday to come I'll be flown to London, get my hair cut and coloured, take pictures of it, stay in a hotel in Kensington, and be flown back on Saturday. The hotel has wifi, laptop and camera will be brought and I hope to blog about the whole thang. And there's Topshop in London, which was the point of this whole little story. Hopefully there'll be time for a little bittle shopping.

Aaaanywho... Window shopping results from Topshop.

I reject your reality and substitute my own

Yes, mine. The flaunting of newly acquired treasures can begin. Newly meaning this summer which now is at an end. I could smell the fall this morning. I think winter will come early this year. (When winter has still not arrived come December, one might find that last prediction modified to "winter will be late this year, fall will be long".)

Shoes and clothing. Second hand and new (notice that I am not saying vintage. More on that later). The grey tassels are attached to a bag that mostly just goes by the name "elephant pouch" or "elephant scrotum".

Oh, baby! How I love these:

Leopardprint wedges. Light as an empty butterbox. My feet have never before worn high heeled shoes as comfortable as these. (The Manfriend I live with hates them. I have to keep telling him that wearing animalprints does not a russian hooker make.) And they make me six feet tall.

Slight redecoration of living quarters has taken place this summer, changing of cushions on couch. Feeling espescially proud considering I have sewn four of the cushion covers myself. The bottom three ones plus the green one with dots. I suspect that Manfriend might find the cushions a wee bit too feminine.

Wedges

Used to dislike wedges. On me that is. And on many others for that matter. Now, somehow, magically, I want them. Just shows how susceptible I am to influences from the outside world, i.e. other blogs (and magazines, and shop windows, and the rest of the bloody internet). I never actually wear heels in my every day life even though I own several pairs, I wish I dared to wear them more. Like this girl (yes, I realize her shoes generally look nothing like the ones on the picture below). It's good blog, hers. Read it.

all shoes from asos.com, and mostly at very delectable prices
